REGULATIONS:
1. STABLES MUST BE PRE BOOKED AND PAID FOR IN FULL ON THE APPROPRIATE ENTRY FORM.
2. AS STABLE NUMBERS ARE LIMITED THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT STABLES WILL BE AVAILABLE IF YOU ARRIVE ON THE DAY.
3. NO PHONE BOOKINGS OF STABLES WILL BE TAKEN.
4. Regulations as set out for Horse section will apply to Novelty exhibitors.
5. All events will be conducted under rules and regulations of the Bendigo Agricultural Show Society in conjunction with the rules of the Australian Novelty Racing Association.
6. Events to be conducted as directed by the Stewards and where possible will be run in heats.
7. Western saddles with horns are prohibited. Saddle must be approved by stewards.
8. Uniforms: Competitors must wear a white or blue collared shirt with fawn or navy blue jodhpurs. Pony club or other riding association uniform may be worn. Approved helmets and riding boots must be worn.
9. Random drug tests for irregularities may be carried out at the direction of an official of the Society.
10. Only dummy spurs may be worn - NO WHIPS
12. No thongs or open toed shoes allowed on the arena
13. The Society reserves the right to delete or alter events if insufficient entries.
PATRON'S TICKETS
1-Day and 2-Day Patron's tickets are available to exhibitors of the show only. The 1-Day Show Patron’s Tickets are only available upon application to enter a Horse class but must be purchased prior to adding your entries to your shopping cart to ensure the discount is applied to your entries.
This ticket allows admission into the Showgrounds for the Patron, Patron’s Partner or Guest and unlimited Children (12 years and under) and the Exhibitor’s vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE: Show Patron’s Tickets only available upon application for a section entry but must be purchased prior to adding your entries to your shopping cart to ensure the discount is applied to your entries.
HORSE REGULATIONS
1. NO HORSES ARE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS AFTER DUSK UNLESS THEY ARE STABLED
2. NO MAKESHIFT YARDS, ELECTRIC OR OTHER ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS
3. CATTLE YARDS ARE NOT FOR USE BY HORSES
4. NO FIRES ALLOWED ON THE GROUND ESPECIALLY AROUND THE STABLE AREAS
HORSE SECTION RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Committee has the right to refuse any entry.
1. All entry fees must accompany entry forms.
2. Breeding year dates from 1st August each year.
3. At the direction of the Chief Steward, any horse or pony may be requested to be measured. An allowance of 3/8” for shoes will be allowed. EFA measuring accepted.
4. All exhibitors compete at own risk.
5. The Bendigo Agricultural Show Society is not responsible for any damage or loss of property.
6. Novice horse, pony or rider is one (VAS ruling), which has not won a 1st placing, competing singly, in any EFA so mentioned show or gymkhana.
7. Local horse or rider is to reside permanently within 30kms of the Bendigo Post Office.
8. Breed class entries must be registered with their recoginsed breed Society.
9. The Judge’s decision is final. Protests must be lodged with the Chief Stewards of the applicable Horse Section with a $50 deposit within 30 minutes after the class in dispute.
10. Stallions are NOT permitted to compete in Open Saddle classes. Stallions must be shown with bit in mouth.
11. Exhibitors cannot compete in both Open and Show Hunter, Hack, Galloway or Pony. Its one or the other only.
STABLES & CAMPING SITES
Stables must be pre booked and paid for in full via www.bendigoshow.com.au/competitions/camping & stabling and only allocated Thursday night to exhibitors that are members or patrons.
As stable numbers are limited, there is no guarantee that stables will be available if you arrive on the day.
No phone bookings for stables will be taken.
An allocation of horse stalls will be posted on the horse superintendents office window.
Stable Fees - Single -$12.00 per day, Double - $20.00 per day.
Stables must have all bedding removed before leaving or a cleaning fee of $20.00 will be charged.
Caravan space is available on application with a site fee of $25.00 per night. Any sites larger than a standard car, float or caravan must be parked as directed.
Caravans to be placed along the wire fence at the rear of the stables.
Any exhibitor who places a horse in an unauthorised stall or position will be liable to disqualification by the Chief Steward.
ENTRY or EXIT & PARKING
Entry via Gate 1 Holmes Road, Exit via Gate 3 Prouses Road
Movement of vehicles between the stable area between 8.30am - 4pm during the Show is strictly prohibited
Parking between the stables is prohibited and offenders will automatically be disqualified
All floats, caravans and vehicles are to be parked as instructed by parking attendants.
LARGE TRUCKS OR VEHICLES MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION
