REGULATIONS:
ALL ENTRIES ARE SUBJECT TO THE BY-LAW REGULATIONS OF THE SOCIETY.
2. Delivery and collection of exhibits:
Delivery: Exhibits to be delivered to the Showgrounds on Tuesday, 22nd October between 8am and 12 noon.
Exhibits forwarded by post or rail are to be clearly marked “Art Section” on the outside of the parcel. These exhibits will be returned immediately after the Show at the exhibitor’s expense.
Collection: All exhibits will be available for collection on Monday, 28th October between 8am and 10.30am only. The Society will not accept responsibility for exhibits not collected before that time.
3. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
4. All exhibits must be the bona fide work of the exhibitor and executed during 2023 or 2024.
5. ALL EXHIBITS TO BE NO LARGE THAN AN A3 SIZE SHEET
6. Exhibit cards will be issued which must be firmly attached to the front of the exhibit on the lower right hand corner.
7. No piece of work may be entered in more than one class.
8. Entries that have previously won a First Prize at a Bendigo Agricultural Show are not eligible to compete.
9. Judges or Society Committee reserve the right to change an entry to another class in the event of an incorrect entry or to exclude any entry altogether if such an entry is considered detrimental to the general standard of the exhibition.
10. Exhibits will be displayed in the Art & Photography Pavilion.
VAS Ltd Regulations
1. Competitors to be aged under 18 years on the day of their local show.
2. Unframed, not larger than 20cm x 30cm, (A4) must be mounted on thick card (mount no larger than 3cm), black and white or colour. Professional photographers not eligible
3. Each exhibit entered must be the bona fide work of the exhibitor.
4. All work is to have been completed in the last twelve (12) months prior to its entry at a local show.
5. The competition follows the three levels of competition: Show Level, Group Level and State Final.
6. An exhibit having won a show will compete at the 2024 group final. The winning exhibit at the group final will then compete at the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show.
7. An exhibitor having won at Show Level is not eligible to enter the VAS Photography Competition at any other show until after the group final judging.
8. An exhibitor is only eligible to represent one group in the state final.
9. An exhibit having won at state final is no longer eligible to compete in the competition.
10. If for any reason a winner is unable to compete at group or state final level, then the second placegetter is eligible to compete.
11. If an exhibitor is found to have won more than one group final the exhibitor must forfeit/refund all prizes and will be disqualified from exhibiting for 12 months
